Jason's Speech
This was written by Jason Green in Beth's memory and published in The American Book Of Poetry.
What can I say about Beth?
She was a wonderful girl, she didn't deserve death
When I saw her in the hall, she made me feel great
now that she's gone and I feel hate
She was the kind of girl with a glow in her eye
Please God, tell me why she had to die
She was much too young for death to sweep her off her feet
She was much too innocent, she was much too sweet
Beth was a friend to everyone
I can't believe her life is done
So please everyone, pray with me
Beth will always be a strong memory
Killing the innocent, putting them in silence
Beth is in a much better place;
She is watching over us, she can see our face
Please, can we have a moment of silence now
Pray in honor of Beth
We will always love you Beth
We will never forget you.
